Bolzano train station is about a 10-minute walk away, with trains to Verona, Innsbruck and Munich. From the centre, the city cable cars to Renon and San Genesio depart, along with buses to the valleys and ski resorts. The nearest airport is Verona, about an hour and a half away. The apartment is in the heart of Bolzano's old town, just a few minutes' walk from the Cathedral, the historic squares, the arcades and the traditional restaurants. In winter, the famous Christmas markets are right on the doorstep. Bolzano is also the gateway to the Dolomites: an ideal base for the Catinaccio, Sciliar, Renon, Alpe di Siusi and Lake Carezza.
